An electrically assisted pedal cycle, (sometimes referred to as an EAPC), is similar to a conventional cycle, except there is a battery operated motor to make those tough hills a breeze! If you live in London, you will be pleased to know that EAPCs are exempt from the congestion charge. Most of our cycles can be ridden by anyone over the age of 14 and are exempt from road tax and insurance requirements. Those not suitable for 14 year olds (and require road tax) are clearly marked on the site. Note: Although you do not need to wear a helmet by law, we cannot emphasis enough the need for you to have one. Yes, you may well look daft ... but a helmet can save you from serious injury if you are unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident. They do happen.
